AUGUST 17, 2018
Located at 1700 North Damen Ave, Tricycle Chicago is slated to open its doors on Thursday, August 16. Brought to you by the team from Sheffield’s Beer & Wine Garden, we’re excited to welcome all of our friends and neighbors, old and new, to Tricycle Chicago!
Stop in for soon-to-be favorites, such as sumac-dusted lamb chops with minted pea hummus, shrimp and grits, or our chicken potpie. Classic cocktails with a twist will be featured and the wine list will showcase boutique vineyards. Sheffield’s beer director, Mark Tolliver, thoughtfully curated the beer program.
We will open daily at 3:00 p.m. offering beer, wine, and spirits, and the kitchen will open at 4:00 p.m. Within the coming weeks, Tricycle Chicago plans on adding a weekend brunch and weekday lunch services.
The cozy interior features the original speakeasy bar under a vintage tin ceiling. Custom pop art by artist Joe Pellegrini and original illustrations by artist James C. Smith adorn the walls.
Let Tricycle Chicago become your third place—a place to gather, to have a drink and a conversation, share a joke or two, talk about the day-to-day events, and share a meal with a friends.
Our friend and author Marcus Sakey said it best:
“Picture your first tricycle. Remember how you loved it? Just the word makes people happy. A tricycle is joy and excitement coupled with safety. They’re homey. Built for adventure, but always dependable.”
